For last 2 days, I trained some Professors of AICTE approved colleges of different states at VGSOM, IIT., Kharagpur. There I taught practical leadership by the invitation of Prof. Biplab Kumar Dutta. During the training, I made some team building exercises using infrastructure project. Following steps were followed: 1. Developing creative consciousness by brain storming the vision statement of projects; 2. Selection of 2 vision statements on empowerment and national integration; 3. Enabling them in formulating the projects; 4. Empowering and energizing them to design 2 models based on their project plans; 5. Describing the projects; 6. Facing conflict situation; 7. Creating trust on self, task, principles and on vision 8. Finally analysis of their perception to self and to others and to the total training process. Over 30 per cent of the 25 Class V students who took part in the study, conducted last year in association with St Mary’s Orphanage and Day School, had some sort of learning disorder. The performances of the students in a programme called Fast ForWord were monitored over three months. “Auditory or visual disorders, caused by both hemispheres of the brain not developing simultaneously, is a common deterrent to academic proficiency. Definition of Stress There has been a considerable debate about definition of stress. Stress is often researched as stimulus, response and process. As stimulus, it is the environmental agent or stressor, as person, it is the non-specific response. And as process it is the cognitive appraisal system. Current discussion will give much emphasis on stress as process variable (Lazarus, 1966). There are two processes – primary and secondary. Primary process is person’s realization that something is at stake and secondary process is concerned with identification and availability of coping resources to deal with threat, harm or challenge. Therefore, stress is not as the cause rather is embedded in our cognitive appraisal system. This definition gives this notion as stress is not always unpleasant.
