The book titled " Principles of Questionnaire Development with empirical studies (for students and researchers in Social sciences) " (ISBN:9788190992312) was inaugurated by Professor Manjula Mukerjee, The Director of the Indian Institute of Psychometry, Kolkata, in the Workshop on SPSS -SYNTAX held at the Institute dated 29th October, 2010. During her speech, she appreciated the examples cited in this book to understand different principles of questionnaire development. Ms. Rama Manna (standing at the left side)was the co-ordinator of the workshop. The researchers of different specialization (Clinical Psychology,Psychiatry,Education,Human development,Environmental science) of different universities and research institutes attended the workshop. Martin Seligman and Positive Psychology

Martin Seligman coined the term - Positive Psychology. It focuses on positive functioning of human being. He suggested self-help techniques: Dr Martin Seligman is the founder of Positive Psychology and explores the latest research in his new book Flourishing. One of his key areas of work has been the infusing of Positive Psychology training with the 1.1 milli on officers of the US army. Rather than focusing on adding additional funds to programs for injured soldiers, his response was to create a training system for the army where officers can become better, stronger and happier people. Why do this? Because the stronger and more emotionally resilient you are, the better you will be able to respond to pressure, crisis and tragedy. History of Tripura

Origin : The origin of the name of Tripura is still a matter of controversy among historians and researchers. According to the 'Rajmala", Tripura's celebrated court chronicle, an ancient king named 'Tripur' ruled over the territorial domain known as 'Tripura' and the name of the kingdom was derived from his name. A school of historians,however, challenge this story and identify 'Tripur' as an imaginary and ahistorical character. Many researchers explain the name 'Tripura' from its etymological origin: the word 'Tripura' is a compound of two separate words, 'Tui' (water) + 'Pra' (near) which in totality means 'near water'.
