Yesterday was the last day for my theory teaching in Rabindra Bharati University.

In this semester, I taught them the followings:

3. Emotional development
4. Personality Development
5. Case-history taking
6. Mental status examination
7. Muti-Axial systems of DSM-IV
8. General assessment functioning of Children and adults

The book titled " Principles of Questionnaire Development with empirical studies (for students and researchers in Social sciences) " (ISBN:9788190992312) was inaugurated by Professor Manjula Mukerjee, The Director of the Indian Institute of Psychometry, Kolkata, in the Workshop on SPSS -SYNTAX held at the Institute dated 29th October, 2010. Importance of Mental health care insurance D. Dutta Roy ISI., Kolkata Number of new policies in health insurance is growing after privatization. It mainly covers general health insurance rather mental health care insurance (MHCI) though World Health Organization predicted 20% growth of mental illness in India. There is no systematic study on insurance needs of the beneficiaries. As a result, many mentally ill people are under-insured or non-insured. This  causes difficulty to provide adequate mental health care through systematic insurance policies and schemes. On the other hand they are stigmatized by the society and sometimes they are abused.
