Poverty Alleviation Strategies

Yesterday, I got invitation from American Centre to attend lecture of Prof. Maurice Albertson of Colorado University. Professor is engaged in various poverty alleviation project. He developed one website where in you can find his contribution in India. Many dignitaries of different NGOs were invited there. Professor's strategy is very simple: 1. Go to people and ask them what do they want to change ? 2. What are the barriers for change ? 3. How do they overcome the barrier ? 4. Design training program. 5. Train the people at the service centre. Participants were thankful to Professor for his democratic approach in poverty alleviation but few of them were sceptical about people empowerment and they pointed out the results of women empowerment in Singur and Nandigram. Finally, moderator asked us different strategies to alleviate the poverty. 6th May, I become the member of our National library. For membership, following things are required: 1. Filling up application signed by the institution authority 2. 2 stamp size photographs Membership time from 2 to 5 pm.

I find interest in following models: market segmentation modeling, concept testing and new product forecasting, advanced experimental design for conjoin t and discrete choice problems, discrete choic e modeling, interactive methods of examining advertising effectiveness, data mining methods, and marketing mix modeling. Market basket analysis Perceived Product Quality To understand consumer purchase behavior, it is necessary to look at consumers' perceptions of the quality and value of a product. It is also necessary to consider consumers' perceptions of what they must give up, i.e., perceived monetary and nonmonetary price. Perceived quality is not equivalent to objective quality; it cannot be measured in terms of technical superiority or adherence to physical standards. Perceived quality is an abstract evaluation or judgment of a product that is formed from intrinsic attributes of the product (e.g., physical characteristics) and extrinsic attributes that are not part of th
