Inaugural speech in Workshop on Psychometrics and SPSS
23.1.2010 Good morning and very happy New Year!.Today is the birth centenary day of the great freedom fighter- Netaji Subhash Chundra Bose. Let stand up for 1 minute to show our tribute to him. Netaji taught us how to be self-efficacious person by scanning and regulating the environment to achieve the goal. I am praying that through this workshop , you will be able to be self efficacious in measuring psychological test characteristics using SPSS. I am thankful to my dear colleague Shri Kranti Srivastava, the chief of Prasad Psycho Corporation, for giving me privilege to share my research studies to the interested research workers and faculties of Delhi and adjoining states. Yesterday, I visited the office of PPC and noted a very good academic climate and systematic storage of Indian and foreign psychological instruments. Mixed feeling
I am going to miss my hand for the project. My project assistant obtained first position in the M.Phil examination of Calcutta University. I am very much proud of her success. She assisted me much in developing the dimension specific questionnaire. She co-authored in one of my articles related to suicide prevention of farmers to be published in the book. I had planned to teach her how to analyze the data. I was successful partially. This time will not come again. She will resign soon for joining M.Phil course. I am praying to almighty for her success in clinical psychology.
