Vibroacoustic Therapy


Vibroacoustic Therapy is a technique in which a combination of two different sounds is played to the patient through Soundbed or Soundchair.

Professor Olav Skille of Norway conceptualized this therapy intially. In India, Step one foundation of India is involved in doing research on its effectiveness. I am engaged in this institute as advisor.

Oone local TV (24 ghanta) anchor , named Jenny, came to the institue and took my interview along with others dated 7.7.07.

The TV program named " Reporter Jenny' will be displayed on 15th July, 2007.

My first book inauguration

The book titled " Principles of Questionnaire Development with empirical studies (for students and researchers in Social sciences) " (ISBN:9788190992312) was inaugurated by Professor Manjula Mukerjee, The Director of the Indian Institute of Psychometry, Kolkata, in the Workshop on SPSS -SYNTAX held at the Institute dated 29th October, 2010. During her speech, she appreciated the examples cited in this book to understand different principles of questionnaire development. Ms. Rama Manna (standing at the left side)was the co-ordinator of the workshop. The researchers of different specialization (Clinical Psychology,Psychiatry,Education,Human development,Environmental science) of different universities and research institutes attended the workshop. I taught them different SPSS syntax. There is one chapter on SPSS Syntax in this book. Martin Seligman and Positive Psychology

Martin Seligman coined the term - Positive Psychology. It focuses on positive functioning of human being. He suggested self-help techniques: Dr Martin Seligman is the founder of Positive Psychology and explores the latest research in his new book Flourishing. One of his key areas of work has been the infusing of Positive Psychology training with the 1.1 milli on officers of the US army. Rather than focusing on adding additional funds to programs for injured soldiers, his response was to create a training system for the army where officers can become better, stronger and happier people.
