General assembly of United Nations adopted five goals:


On 15th September, 2005, General assembly of United Nations adopted five goals:

1. Values and Principles: "We reaffirm that our common fundamental values, including freedom, equality,
solidarity, tolerance, respect for all human rights, respect for nature and shared
responsibility, are essential to international relations".

2. Development: "We reaffirm our commitment to eradicate poverty and promote sustained
economic growth, sustainable development and global prosperity for all."


3. Peace and collective security: "We therefore reaffirm our commitment to work towards a security consensus
based on the recognition that many threats are interlinked, that development,
peace, security and human rights are mutually reinforcing,best protect itself by acting entirely alone and that all States need an effective and efficient collective security system pursuant to the purposes and principles
of the Charter."


4. Human rights and the rule of law "We reaffirm that all human rights are universal, indivisible, interrelated,
interdependent and mutually reinforcing and that all human rights must be
treated in a fair and equal manner, on the same footing and with the same
emphasis. While the significance of national and regional particularities and
various historical, cultural and religious backgrounds must be borne in mind,
all States, regardless of their political, economic and cultural systems, have the
duty to promote and protect all human rights and fundamental freedoms.
122. We emphasize the responsibilities of all States, in conformity with the Charter"

5. Strengthening the United Nations: " We reaffirm our commitment to strengthen the United Nations with a view to
enhancing its authority and efficiency, as well as its capacity to address
effectively, and in accordance with the purposes and principles of its Charter,
the full range of challenges of our time"
